On Tanya Habjouqa's site I'm especially drawn to some of the work within her Women of Gaza series which features a love story unlike many others.
"A young photographer and his new wife. He lost his legs during an Israeli aerial attack while he was working, and was flown to Saudi Arabia after the Gaza bombardment. There he met the Palestinian expat community in Saudi, and a young journalist who went to the hospital to meet him and write about "his bravery". She fell in love, and together they are newly married in Gaza, as he teaches her video and photography and she assists him in his work in addition to striving for her own. "
Other series like Fragile Monsters are also worth a look. Though the topic has been covered a lot, much like a car wreck it can be hard to look away.
